Lately I have seen the media talking adout the 35W bridge and I still see horrible images about what happend that day. So I've been thinking, should the media be allowed to show these images when it could cause some people to remember the feeling they had that day? I still see images on the news of my little cousin crying as she was watching someone that she admired so much being wheeled on to an ambulance. It bothers me. I wonder if it the media knows how much pain they inflict on people by reminding them again.
the bridge collapse took everyone by surprise and is something so tragic that I think if I had been in that horrible situation, I wouldn't go back on it.
But who knows? I mean getting over a fear is something most people want to do. But also the great paranoya of going on that specific bridge or any bridges is still there. It's hard to imagine how those people are feeling now and how their life changed after that.
the collapse definitely marked history. It is actualyl kind of weird crossing it now. People give each other more space and drive a bit slower.. I think that will change with time tho
Im sorry but i just cant bring myself to croos that bridge again....
Were you on it?
don't feel bad i've never even been on it.
I think thats the point to bring up feelings so they're never lost and eventually get others to feel that way too. An unused bridge would make a great story.
my mom was almost on the bridge when it collapsed. But now that they have built the new 35w, it has more room and is much safer to drive on then the old 35w.
