Follow this link to an amazing overlay of before and after Japan tsunami aerial photos. A slide bar allows you to "swipe" the tsunami over the before photo to see after effects.
I love the "swipe" action, but if you prefer side-by-sides check these out.
The eastward drift of JAPAN by some metres after the recent earthquake shows that Eurasian plate is overriding the Pacific plate, therefore,the direction of arrows marked on Pacific plate need to be shifted to Eurasian plate to show its eastward direction of monement. So , the term overthrust may be preffered over underthrust while describing the collision.
