Fifth-grader is smarter than the Smithsonian

by Thor on Apr. 03rd, 2008

I don't think Jeff Foxworthy had anything do to with this, but here's a tale of a pretty smarth fifth-grader in Michigan.

Oh I'm glad you posted this. I heard about it on the radio and was going to say something about it as well. People always worry that when we share authority with our visitors, that we will open things up to inaccuracy. But actually museums make lots of mistakes themselves. If you get a second you should try and listen to this kid talk about his experience. He is really really excited to have been able to help out.

Thor says:

Talk about museums making mistakes...when the Smithsonian replied to the fifth-grader it had misspelled his name and the city where he lives.
