If you're anything like me, your Monday nights are spent relaxing into the work week and looking for something half-way decent to watch. Well, here it is: Doing DaVinci is a show on the Discovery Channel where they try to bring the master's inventions to life. It first aired in mid-April, and you can watch it Mondays at 9 pm central time. Make sure you check out the homepage for the show on the Discovery Channel website for cool information about the show, DaVinci's machines, and a personality quiz to find out which Leonardo DaVinci you are.

Hmmm, this is a lot like one of those annoying Facebook quizzes that all my friends are taking, but I couldn't help myself. And I was quite surprised at the result. The Discovery Channel thinks I'm "Leonardo the Warrior":

"Ever sketched gigantic powerful weapons creating mayhem and destruction on the battlefield? If so, you share this with Leonardo. The powerful war machines he designed were far ahead of their time — not to mention elegant and lethal. In his cryptic backward script, Leonardo conceived of a medieval tank, a multi-barreled "machine gun," scythed chariots and a giant crossbow."

I mean, all those things are cool. I would like to be Leonardo the Warrior. But I'm not. I'll be curious to see what results other Buzzers get and if they ring true.

I got "Leonardo the Failed Actor":

"Did you leave high school your junior year to become a famous actor? So did Leonardo. After taking a bit part in a local theater production, Leonardo became infatuated with the idea of celebrity. Unfortunately, Leonardo's tremendous intellect was never matched by his acting skills. After a Hollywood career that peaked with a regional ad for a credit services company and the role of "Goth girl 2" in MTV's Jailbait, Leonardo returned home to Italy, to sketch machines for cutting casting directors in half."

Yeah, that about sums it up for me. (Except I also stole Michael Cera's shirt off the beach once. So I'm sort of famous for that too.)

Mine came up:

Leonardo the Scientist

"Leonardo's fascination with science was perhaps his most consuming passion outside of his art. A true polymath, he greatly advanced the state of knowledge in the fields of anatomy, civil engineering, optics and hydrodynamics. He also dabbled in physics, mathematics and botany. You share his love of observation, logic and experimentation."

I guess.

Hey! I was Leonardo the Scientist, too! Although I really don't know how "in to" civil engineering, optics, and hydrodynamics I am...
