Interesting. I never knew until now that there's such an invention. I'd love to have one of these for my deceased relatives. I wonder how much it'd cost though.
Yep, you read correctly: DNA jewelry. Not only does DNA serve as a genetic map to an individual's identity, but now it can be used to create the ultimate brand name—yours! Scientists in England have made one-of-a-kind products using people’s DNA. Necklaces, rugs, and glass screens are just a few products being made out of DNA.

Neil Sullivan, head of Complement Genomics, in Sunderland, England, had mixed feelings when his company presented the idea at the International Biotech Conference in London. To Sullivan’s surprise, "people were fascinated by the merger of science and art."
Using a kit from Sullivan's company, customers swab the inside of their mouths, then send in the collected samples as well as individual gift orders. Then, presto, within two months the personalized DNA gift appears.
So, what does this mean? People are able to send in DNA samples and have themselves, deceased loved ones, or even pets preserved in a humanly constructed product. Would you want your DNA woven into a rug or incorporated into a necklace?
