Researchers started looking into alligator blood after noticing that the creatures rarely get infections despite all the wounds they suffer in their violent lives.
Why does any of this matter to us? The discovery could have huge impacts for our health. For one thing, experiments have shown the alligator blood is able to destroy much of HIV, the virus that leads to AIDS.
More specifically, alligator blood (and the blood of many other reptiles) is high in peptides, which are fragments of proteins). Learning more about these peptides could lead to the creation of medicines we’d be able to use to fight off strong viruses like HIV.

how is the blood a cure for AIDS
There are components in the alligator's blood -- peptides -- that attack the virus that causes AIDS. If we can recreate those peptides in the form of medicine, we'll have a way to counteract the the impact the HIV and AIDS viruses work in human bodies.
Alligator blood is the cure because, the alligator has an immune system that is so healthy and strong, by mixing it with ours, their immune system will kill the virus known as HIV. Although, there are some components in their blood that is deadly to us, so just full out mixing alligator blood with our body is a bad idea, it must be "cleared of those components.

you will be long dead before that happens though, lol, unless you believe
in animal/human hybrids, you will die before you have to,
it is likely, cloning is here, in 50 years we will have acheived
physical immortality through cloning and copying our 'selves'
into our cloned bodies.

omg thats the best news i've heard if they were to find the cures of HIV omg they would save so many lives.... i hope they find the cure i wish they would have found years and years back my grandma had AIDs so i hope they find the cure soon.....
I thought this article was cool. I really hope the find a cure for aids because it is tearing the globes population apart in certain areas.

i think this is the break though we needed to save thousands of millions from the deadly std, so i support it with full convidence,and mabey one day it can be cured like a common cold.

i think it is the best way to cure aids,because as what louisiana have said before,alligator's blood can cure or destroy almost 23 strains of bacteria. I hope,there are some people that can discover or invent that kind of medicine so other sick people will have the oportunity to live happy and will have a better future,and to give them hope to experience challenges in life,because life is what we make it,but other says life is destiny.Anyway life is life,so don't dare miss it!..charing!

I think this is a great idea, because you give people who are infected with viruses that does not have a cure hope to one day be blessed to be cured and live a healthier normal life.

too bad aids is not a bacteria. But a virus! duh.
well this idea is pracitcal however the disadvantage is the disturbing of crocodile habitats and even lead in the deaths of crocodiles just to get a sample of blood so as to replicate the peptides in their blood for the sake of our lives.
Yeah ... Gator blood is 100% work , my friend had blood cancer and he was in hospital last 2 week ,4 docter give up and send him home ,he drink small cup of gator blood one a day ( for a chance of his life) now he really really ok and i have to say back to mormal
