So I was chillin' at the Science Museum today, chatting with one of my volunteers who asked me if I knew what a "glory" was. Well, I did not! So we hopped onto a computer to look it up and see what we'd find. And who would have guessed but it's a super nifty weather phenomenon!

Basically, a glory is an optical phenomenon where light is back-scattered towards its source by a cloud of uniformly sized water droplets. It has the effect of giving someone or something a halo of sorts. Apparently, true glories have all the colors of the rainbow in them, but you can also find glories of white light.

So there's your super nifty weather phenomenon of the day!
