Every story needs a good title. Yours should give readers a good idea of what the story is about, but it can also be funny or eye catching.
Only the first letter of a title (and, of course, any proper nouns) should be capitalized. Titles should not end in periods. If your title is a question or an exclamation, you may use a question mark or exclamation point, but don't overuse such punctuation.

Help us categorize your story. Is it about Earth Science? Life Science? You must pick a category, but don't worry too much about getting it exactly right. Curious about where these categories come from?
You can give your story several tags. These are narrower categories or labels that you invent, instead of the broad general categories. Visitors to the site can find stories on topics that interest them (such as "space," "natural disasters," "health," "nanotechnology," or "chickens") by clicking on tags.
