I had taken a trip across the Denali Highway (Alaska, 08-28-07), and about three-quarters of the way across, to my astonishment, the moon was disappearing. Before long, it was totally eclipsed, and let me tell you, under some of the mountains near the Alaska Range, it was truly the sight of a lifetime to behold. I don't think I will ever be that fortunate again to witness such an event at such a place in my life.

You'll get another chance to view a total lunar eclipse on February 21, 2008. It will be visible from the Americas, the Pacific, Europe and Africal.
