In 2006 was asked visitors to tell us what they knew about this object.
We asked people to write a brief label about this object: a memory, an interesting fact, something you notice, even a poem.
Todays hobbies are linked to the past. Today they are generally for fun, in the past they had more meaning.
It makes a person wonder how the ancient people of the past used their natural resources to create such beautiful colors. They weren't so uncivilized after all...
very difficult indeed-
this art form takes extreme patience. you need to be very precise when cutting the length of yarn and then place it accurately next to the last piece placed. The piece on display is practically perfect! It must have taken a lot of time.
people in the past made many of things like this they were very talented and that is what cultures of the world grow off of

They used pictures (called pictographs or petroglyphs) to tell about their lives, their day, and their parties, activities, and hunts,etc.
this picture is made of lots of different color yarn. it ilistrates the happiness in some people.
i see a turtle or some kind of animal. then there is a person with a bow. and an arrow. then another one. then more arrows. maybe a snake? huichol yarn huichol yarn. its so visually appealin i just want to gobble it all up
