Write your own label for the yarn painting

Museums don't know everything.

In 2006 was asked visitors to tell us what they knew about this object.

We asked people to write a brief label about this object: a memory, an interesting fact, something you notice, even a poem.

Todays hobbies are linked to the past. Today they are generally for fun, in the past they had more meaning.

It makes a person wonder how the ancient people of the past used their natural resources to create such beautiful colors. They weren't so uncivilized after all...

very difficult indeed-

this art form takes extreme patience. you need to be very precise when cutting the length of yarn and then place it accurately next to the last piece placed. The piece on display is practically perfect! It must have taken a lot of time.
