I don't think it's right to kill animals. No matter how annoying they can get sometimes. And yes, chipmunks are cute. So don't kill them. I find it really disgusting when people kill chipmunks just because they're eating up their flowers. It's like they care more about their flowers that don't even last a year anyway more than the wildlife. Anyways, interesting picture. I saw a pheasant like that once. It was kind of creepy actually.

We were at the Cabin one year and they were so curios they would go by our feet for food.
I breed chipmunks and i have figured out that the behavior of chipmunks varies if they have tags on them or not. It seems like they feel insecure with these dehumanizing tags on them. I also think that the chipmunks are less driven towards sexual activity when they have a tag on them.
I say, no tags on cute little chipmunks!!!
I think chipmunks are cute so we shouldn't have to put tags on them because then they aren't as cute

The Stuffed animals freak me out and they look so sad like that it is mean to do that to them and they are kind a creepy and my dog tries to hurt them and that freaks me out when she tries and she has got a few of them under the basketball hoop scary right!!!!!!!!!!

how can you say that? i am not no tree hugger but the opposite. a big block looks good in a front yard, but that comment was a little out of line. i am sure that on some other planet large Chipmunks shoot at you. keep that in mind.

That chipmonks eyes are crazy looking. What the heck! Just because chipmonks die all the time doesn't mean tht we should kill them too and pose pictures of them!

The chipmunk pictured here doesn't have eyes anymore. What you see is something called a "study skin." The eyes, guts, etc., are removed and the body is stuffed to preserve the specimen for the biology collection.
Again, I can't say for sure without looking at the tag, but I'd be willing to bet that no one from the Science Museum killed this animal. As for taking pictures of the study skin, that's the whole point of preserving it! When you have lots of them, skins like this one can be used to learn all sorts of things--genetic changes, geographic changes, physical changes--about a population over periods of time, from a season to a century or more.
You know what I think? Animals shouldn't be compared to keys!!!
The keys are there just to give you a sense of how big a chipmunk is. Everyone knows how big keys are, so putting them in the picture helps you know how big a chipmunk is.
We are not comparing chipmunks to keys in any other ways.

Chipmunks are very annoying most of the time. Especially when they are in your yard!

Without seeing the tag, I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that this chipmunk was found dead and donated to or collected by the Science Museum.

Actually, the chipmunk is SMALLER than the squirrel. If you take a good look at nature, it will be obvious.

We see chipmunks in our front yard. They run under the hosta plant whenever they see us and get scared.
well we see chipmunks in our backyard and they find food and then they run off. and they love our backyard and they love to play with squrriles.

Why did you take the eyes out of the chipmunk? Chipmunks are cute ! (with their eyes anyway. I mean, you don't see chipmunks with no eyes running around anyway!) Although white squirrels- they are just plain SCARY with those little red eyes of theirs.
