Next month -- April 8, to be exact -- is the 50th anniversary of the first attempts to discover extra-terrestrial life via radio telescope. To date, we've heard nothing.
of all are smarts our equipment our science our toys, cars, planes, spaceships. Humans can brag about being the smartest creatures that have ever lived on the earth. I beg to differ I beleive we are the only spieces that knows we are killing ourselves but our greed is more valuable than anything. Humans are incredibility stupid we just don't know it yet.
Our world is possible for anything.. For example the tree-man, the strange fishes that were found after the tsunami, etc. So if anythings possible, then there might be a possibility that other species might be out there. I don't know the real reason how we got here but I believe that we were evolved from cavemen. The earth-like planet they found in Libra might have living creatures on it that we don't know about. Who knows.. they might be like us but with different aspects of life.
First of all, why can't people use spellcheck? It really isn't that hard, but it is very hard to try and read what you have typed.
Anyway, I think that there has to be life outside of our solar system; think about it, our solar system is only a TINY portion of the universe......we are minuscule compared to it, so if we are here, there are other people, or life, out there as well.
I'm not sure if we will ever be technologically advanced enough for us to find out the truth to be honest, because in order to wander the whole universe and not waste time, you would have to travel at the speed of light which is almost to the 'T' instantaneous, and doing that would be highly impossible.
But who knows, only time will tell. What if time is never a problem again?
i assure you there are, how do i know, because we are already among you terrestians. We are numerous and our numbers have been growing steadily over the course of the last 400 years, but you are not in a phase in your development to accept us. We are reluctant to colonize your planet, when the time is right, all will be known to you.
there is life out there we just havent checked scientist say theres no life out there but how do they know? they havent checked the whole universe so they prob just say that just to stop looking cuz they gave up. DONT GIVE UNTIL WE CHECKED THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
thats how i know theres no life out there. because they havent checked the whole universe so we just have to explore more and try harder
My weekend is pretty free. Maybe I can check the left side of the universe on Saturday, and—if I get up early enough—I can sort through the right side of the universe for life on Sunday.
It's out there. we'd be vain to think our planet is the only one that could support life. the odds of that much energy out there not forming life in more than one location doesn't support the wise bet. I think a more interesting question is what has that life done with its time? Then what will it do once alerted to our presence. I hope they are a people than we have been.
Given what has already been discovered about the magnitude of the universe, it's hard to believe we're the only form of life out there. It's strange to think about though.
I believe that there is life outside our solar system, and if there is intellegent life, even smarter than us, the reason we don't know about them is because we are too primative. On our own world we persecute and attack eachother. If I were a smarter being I would not want to get involved with a race that is as violent and primitive as humans. If they are more intellegent than us they will probably wait for a time when we have evolved or become responsible enough with our technologies to reveal themselves. We are volatile and destructive, seeking intellegent life will not work until we are developed enough to recieve it and not attack it. It will rather reveal itself to us when we are ready.
There seems to be no real distinction made in most of the posts above between is their "life" or extraterrestial intelligence beyond our solar system.
Now, seemingly, if your theory is that life is as simple as, is there "something" that reproduces itself in some form? the answer is definitely "yes". If you consider the popular scientific evidence on how a star is "born", then, life exists beyond the planet and our solar system.
If, however, your definition of life includes the accepted life cycle of birth, growth, reproduction and death", then, that moves the search to the search for extraterrestial intelligence and "little green men".
I sure do believe someone or something is out there. I have felt demons present a wake and a sleep. If the demons are present why can't another form of life exist too!
Demons...you've got to be kidding, right?
Scripture does tell us that the devil roams to and fro seeking those he can destroy, but demons?
And even if there is, what does that have to do with ETI?
Why do we feel the urge to find something that we don't even know exhists. We have bigger problems than finding other life. How about working on realistic issues that aren't as pointless. So what if there is other life???!!!!!
gene, baby! How could you give us such an epistomological treatise on the history of physics without mentioning Heisenberg and his uncertainty principle?
Regarding the story "Meat`` -- There is annother story called "Serving Man" Aliens come to Earth, cure disease, show how to feed everyone well and then start inviting humans to visit their planet. Each of the aliens carries a book "How to serve Man". One day a copy is left behind and it turns out to be a cook book.
Yes I believe there is life elsewere but as far as saying there are aliens from outerspace I don't believe they are really aliens. I mean lets face it if they are so advanced then why come here. I think they are spiritual beings on another dimension in space, and on earth that are often refered to ghosts. The Bible does mention angels, and God but not aliens with permanent physical bodies. I think that some will claim to be aliens but are really fallen angels.
we have progressed so much in the past years and it goes to show that we will continue too. i am sure when we find that life we will see them as good not evil as well.
Peace on Earth:)
I believe there is some sort of life out there. Think about it... there are millions of gallaxies! Most of them are too far away to even see them. You think of the big picture, then the little one. Within our gallaxie we are only able to reach the moon. Maybe there is more to life even within our own gallaxie. Earth is just a small grain of sand on the biggest beach ever. Remember that each star is a sun waiting to warm the nearby planets. We see stars everyday. Even if we don't, we know they're there. Maybe, just maybe, there is life out there with people wondering the same exact thing we do..."Is there life beyond this planet?" Maybe they just see our sun as another star in the sky like we see theirs. Religon nor Science has anything to do with it... it will always be a matter of "WHAT IFS" forever.
hey all... well it would be very very ignorant to think we are the only life in the universe, think about it we are the tiniest dot on the tiniest dot in a gigantic mind boggling universe we cant even see that far out and yet some people think we are alone?! Well we may be alone in our tiny part of the universe and may never get to see other life forms in our time here on earth but i am more than sure that there has to be life elsewhere we are not unique !!! Think about it life is natural to the universe, how can it not be?!
There are no other planets or stars. What you see in the sky is a still shot of a virtual reality imposed upon us. World is not even a 3 dimensional place. It is a halogenetic two dimesiopnal concept. What we assume to be reality, is nothing close to it.
Don't be fooled by what you read. This life is just a fantacy!
why not? i love science fiction, and the idea of not being alone in the universe is a very appealing one for me. maybe the aliens are silicon based or something, yellow-blooded, and live in different environments than one would expect.
if you think about it, we humans are like nothing compared to God. as the song goes "all we are is dust in the wind." i tend to think of people as mice in God's great laboratory: humanity is one of various experiments in mortal life-forms. He probably created other, different life-forms on different planets in some attempt to improve upon his creations. I view God as powerful but less than perfect, so as a result his creations would be less than perfect. perhaps there are millions of other intelligent civilizations out there, some that started before us (early, less successful experiments) and some that came to be after humanity (more perfect, righteous experiments, the kind God is looking for)
Interesting how closely extraterrestrials are tied to intelligent design! what i've written, of course, is just my opinion, what i've made of my experiences on Earth. i'm far from perfect, so my speculations may be entirely wrong. Nonetheless, I remain hopeful that there is somebody else out there. Hopefully, someday, they will find us.
I think there were aliens at some point but not any now. there ARE things that point to former life on planets and moons such as mars but i believe they are like an endangered species.
Are there aleins? My mom says yes and my Dad says no.so i have no clue. but i bet that there are other species in the universe besides us. But if you meet one, don't tell them that we have been calliing them aliens! Cuz that means that they are strange and weird and scary and that might offend them.
I truly believe there is life elsewhere in the universe and in there is a good chance it could be human life. If we as humans are supposed to be God's greatest mortal creation, it would only make sense that this creation would be spread through out the universe. With our Sun being a medium sized yellow star being the source of energy God provided to enable life on this planet...there are countless stars out there virtually identical to our Sun. With that being said, it is very possible there are life bearing planets with similar orbiting cycles. If there are, then it is not so impossible to believe there well could be humans inhabiting these planets. This all goes back to the Intelligent design theory that ties creation science togeather.
Evolutionist would point to similarity in bone alignment with human beings and others in the animal kingdom has having evolved from a common ancestor. Intelligent Design says the designer i.e. God used a common mold of bone alignment, internal systems, etc and that's why structurally we as living things have those likenesses. So if the design for our solar system has been used in medium yellow star, what is so hard about believing that as the omnieverything creator God is, why he couldn't replicate the process using a virtually identical star(s)? Christ did say "I must go to my other sheep", that could very easily mean the non jews of earth as well as those who were not of "this world".
One other thing to consider, there have been countless UFO(roswell,Area 51) sightings over the years, some obvious hoaxes, some unexplainable. I don't want to sound insane but just go with me on this one as this after all just hypothetical but it is possible some of these humans from other planets might be living among us. Get fake SSN's, ID's, the whole 9 yards...it's not impossible if you know who to go to, and if they've established networks to do so. If one of these extraterrestrials were to come out, they would be institutionalized because of the tremendous disbelief of something sounding so far fetched. Rememeber their have certain discoveries in archeology and other sciences that have been dismissed as "anamolies" because the they don't fit the accepted mold. Dinosaur and Human foot prints fossilized togeather, dead plesiosaur carcases found in fishing nets, underwater temples and pyramids of civilizations lost just to name a few that mainstream science dismisses because they don't fit the accept theories and timelines.
Maybe one day we'll know but until that comes if it comes we can only hypothosize and speculate as to what may or may not be. What is impossible to us today may very readily become the breakthroughs and common use items of tommorow...30 years ago record players were the common means of listening to music, then came CD players and now we have MP3 players and ipods. What tommorrow brings will be interesting and that could include interuniversal communication...only time will tell one way or another.
This has been mentioned alot, but I also think the odds are far too great for there to be absolutely no other life out there. Even some microbes or plants, something. So many planets, systems, stars... I think it would be arrogant of us to think "we're all that there is". We cant even SEE other planets yet to make that assumption. The only hint we have of other planets even existing is a slight blip on a stars' light specrum showing when the 'planet' passes in front...and that's with our most advanced (as far as I know) technology. And as for no life in our own solar system, that's not 100% confirmed yet either. Even if it turns out Earth is unique in our own system..to say that means there can't be any other life period would be making that judgement based on 9 planets (8 if you kick out poor pluto) out of how many billion?
I also agree we need to broaden our view of "what could support life". We're broadening that now with finding creatures that live at the bottom of our own oceans in boiling thermal vent water, thriving with no sunlight and chemicals all around them. Fact of the matter is, we're stuck on our little tiny planet here, theorizing and speculating what could be out there, unable even to visit beyond our own moon yet...a little premature for us to say there can't be any other life out there.
I VOTED TO YES COZ FOR ME ( TO SOMEONE WE HUMAN R THAT MUCH SMALL AS AN ATOM BEEN TO US , AND FOR SOMEONE AN ATOM IS AS MUCH BIG AS WE HUMAN BEEN TO ATOM ) . I THINK ITS A HUGE CYCLE OF CREATURES . AND ONE THING MORE NASA OR WHOEVER WAITING FOR A SIGNALS FROM ALLIENS WILL GET THE SIGNAL , BUT THEY CANT IMAGINE IT WILL TAKE TOO MUCH TIME. FOR MORE DETAIL YOU CAN ASK ME ON MY EMAIL ADDRESS
We discussed this earlier. (See the comments around April 18 between Clay B. and I.) It is impossible for there to be living beings smaller than an atom. In fact, the smallest living cell contains millions of atoms. And, while Clay and I did not discuss it, the laws of physics also preclude creatures so large we would be like an atom next to them. They would collapse under their own weight.
Next month -- April 8, to be exact -- is the 50th anniversary of the first attempts to discover extra-terrestrial life via radio telescope. To date, we've heard nothing.

we are all but shadows and dust
ya neva know.
theres trace of frozen water on mars!!!
might be some green little alien on mars...
if there is i'll call it bogey!!!
lol
there has to be other life somewhere!
how else would you explain ufos?
Swamp gas. Venus. Weather balloons. Aircraft. Birds. Military flares. Porch screens. Keanu Reeves.
wow we are totally alone here, there's nobody out there that we can find. we are going to die alone in a fiery explosion
there is life out there we just havent checked scientist say theres no life out there but how do they know? they havent checked the whole universe so they prob just say that just to stop looking cuz they gave up. DONT GIVE UNTIL WE CHECKED THE WHOLE UNIVERSE
thats how i know theres no life out there. because they havent checked the whole universe so we just have to explore more and try harder
There are some places so inhospitable to life that it would be a waste of time to check. Still, that leaves a lot of territory to explore...

yes, there is life out there - just a matter of time before we discover where exactly.

I mean our solar system has already been stated that we are in the milky way, and there are other galaxies. i think andromedea is one?
My theory is that if you think it, it is sure true!
maybe there is life
yes i do because they had to get the ideas from some where.
I think that there is life out there but we haven't discover it yet.

the sloar styestem is onley 1 out of 1000000000000000000000000000000000000 mass bodies in the uiniverse
ive met life

we might never find out.
but i really waanted to find out that what is the name of the new planet that astronuts discover outside of the planet.
