I trust the logic behind avoiding many public areas, during an outbreak of anything as contagious as flu. It is only prudent to try and procure other means of transportation duing such times
after a few weeks the intensity of the virus will decrease enough that fewer people would have serious outcomes. It would also give the CDC time to develop a flu vaccine.
I might be able to do this because we all are required to go to school in the winter almost every day, but in the summer i go tothe mall once every two weeks.
we should never live in fear. are we to stay iin our homes for the rest of our lives. we need to wash our hands before we eat and treat others as we want to be treated. FDR said '' We have have nothing to fear but fear itself!"

There is no such thing as a 'flu epidemic'. It's just a tool used by a corrupt government system to herd the masses to acquire money for the rich. Moon landing was a good example of a 'flu epidemic' that was fake.
yes i am 'willing' to avoid public transportation, but i'd probably still use public transportation. just because i'm willing to avoid it doesn't mean i will avoid it.
I said no because I would'nt be infected because I take good care of myself and I'm not that worried abot catching it since my body would have fought the virus and recorded the model of the virus that attacked.
of course i would! i wouldnt want to get sick at all!!
i would be able to stay away for as long as possible..
although i would make someone go to the grocery store to get the food for me!
I work in higher education. People living in close communities, like colleges will be dramatically effected. Avoidingpublic places will reduce the spread of the H1N1 flu or other flu.
I voted yes because in these sorts of situations, the authorities usually know what they are talking about. I'm not sure I'd be willing to miss church, though.
sadly you do not have a clue what a pandemic is or what it can do to our already weak world wide economy!! any school you may miss will have to be made up!! please stay in school and get educated!
Contrary to the LEFT view most people do not use public tranportation. Why? To slow. At the time trolly cars were King they were the fastest way to get around.
I work in a mall. I can't miss work.
I voted yes for however long is recommended becuz having the flu stinks.
to avoid getting sick
An outbreak like this would most definately stir some unease in the public. Best to avoid crowded places. You never know what you may catch..

flu breakouts are never as bad as people make them out to be. media creates mass hysteria
because i love transportatoin and the mall n stuff but if i would get super sick then i might not have 2 do thats stuf.
I would do it as long as recommended because i wouldn't want to be sick......DUHH!
i vote yes cuz i wod not want to be sick
I might be able to do this because we all are required to go to school in the winter almost every day, but in the summer i go tothe mall once every two weeks.
because kids r dirty
i dont think that it would make much of a difference for my health if i dont go on public transportation!

I agree. In England when people stayed isolated in their villages during the plague, they were more likely to stay healthy.
well it would be safest to stay in your home so you can't catch the virus
It would be best to control the pandemic!!!!!
yes you are right. the best thing you can do is wash your hands a lot.
if you had to avoid it for a long time you would have no food, so at the very most would be two weeks

Dude...no conspiracy theories, please. You've got science? We've got ears. (Or eyes?) This ain't it.
I just cant stay away from friends and competitive sports that long. Id even miss school. I would be bored.
Flu Pandemics should be combated by all measures possible. Therefore we will all do as is necessary and right in the time of crisis!
I voted yes because i know what it's like to have the flu and i had to skip school for a few days.
would that actully happen in the event of a pandemic though? or woulld they find some other way to fi it with ou inconvinecing our lives
I Don't Care about sickness that much so I voted no. I'm not scared of the flu
I am not all that afraid of getting sick. i am usually healthy, but would not want to be a carrier and get others sick.
i would still go to church
If a serious panedemic hit. Why on earth would you risk your safety?
I think I'm more scared of the regular flu than anything that is associated to pigs
yes i am 'willing' to avoid public transportation, but i'd probably still use public transportation. just because i'm willing to avoid it doesn't mean i will avoid it.
i think i got an earlier strain of the virus, which usually means i am not succeptable to another strain.
I said no because I would'nt be infected because I take good care of myself and I'm not that worried abot catching it since my body would have fought the virus and recorded the model of the virus that attacked.
I would go to chuhrch anyway
a pandemic would be horrible!
of course i would! i wouldnt want to get sick at all!!
i would be able to stay away for as long as possible..
although i would make someone go to the grocery store to get the food for me!

the flu pandemic is a disease that can and does kill people. the reccomendations for how long to stay away are set for your own safety
If it were a black plague epidemic, yes, but if not I've no fear of H1N1. It's going through my school as we speak with no fatal cases.
I voted yes because I wouldn't want to be around all the sick people and risk catching the disease.
i would not want to get sick ore get anyine else ick making the diessease spread farther
I think that this is a good question to ask to the children and adults here. Most people wouldnt think about such things.
because i use them often and couldnt go long without them
I voted yes because in these sorts of situations, the authorities usually know what they are talking about. I'm not sure I'd be willing to miss church, though.
need more information to make agood decision.
if it got me out of school yes i would.
sadly you do not have a clue what a pandemic is or what it can do to our already weak world wide economy!! any school you may miss will have to be made up!! please stay in school and get educated!
more then two weeks is too long
I hope that the H1n1 disease dose not get any worse.
Also i hope that there is a pandemic for it so I could skip school
