Whether you like your steaks or stick to the veggies, meat consumption is a big issue. Does knowing more affect how you think about it? What's the best way to learn and make decisions about issues like these?
Then perhaps we should change the way meat is prepared or handled, not peoples diet. I love eating meat, i also eat about an equal amount of vegetables and fruits in a week. If you don't eat meat because you find the slaughter of animals distasteful, then by all means don't. But to not eat meat due to these "greenhouse gasses" is nonsense, change the process. research and develop new technology. And please be respectful, sure a meat eater may smile and look at you funny when someone says they're vegetarian but most often it's vegans that smirk and publicly criticize the meat eater. I'll respect your choice if you respect mine.
there are happy mediums and solutions- small farms and eating locally grown foods are a way to keep things on a smaller scale and not consume so many resources- maybe if you eat meat you have to have a hand in raising and butchering the animals?
rather than being concerned about how much land it takes to raise feed for farm animals, and how we can maintain enough meat for an ever increasing population, perhaps we should rather focus on how to reduce the world's population to more manageable sustainable levels.
meat is awsome and well so what if animals get killed they get killed in the wild anyway so why should it matter if we kill them i mean seriously well thats just my opinion.
If you don't want to eat meat then you can keep all the uneaten cattle in your back yard as pets. In the 1970s the cattle gave off the most greenhouse emissions due to their gaseous expulsions. So unless you like cattle farts...
There are more efficient forms of meat such as poultry or even wild game. Recent studies have shown meat eating actualy helped humans evolve. The efficency and pollution problems caused by animals havescientific solutions.
This servey was definitely odd, but had quite a lot of information attached. I will definitely have to think about eating meat the next time I have a meal... THANK YOU, SCIENCE MUSEUM!!!
I think this COULD have been a great educational exhibit if the questions and answers had been worded differently. Use of respectful verbage would possibly make people less defensive and put them into a better, more open state of mind.
MEAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! You vegetarians are missing out, now I'm not saying change your way of eating. Meat keeps you heallthy!
Global warming is fake!!!! It's just something that someone came up with so they could make a product and sell it to make it healthy for the environment. In truth most of those things that actually help the earth were already on the selves.
Those people just wanted an easy way of making money.
Meat is the most important form of protein we have (along with eggs, fish, and seafood). It provides complete AND efficient protein. You will find seriously malnourished people if you cut all meat production. I work at a nutritional practice and I see the results of poor eating every day. For good health, let's keep our meat.
I think that this quiz made you really open up your eyes to things going on around you and what is entering the human body. Do you really know what your eating ?
That was kinda interesting, but its like you guys are try to turn me into a vegan. i'm not obsessed with meat, but i uusually like it. however, that gave me something to think about, and i like that
that really iritated me i think that everybody should eat meat and that meat is awesome. So if anybody doesn't like meat than move 2 another country cause america is a meat loving country. :)
I think we should spend some serious time/effort in the improvement of food production for humans. then we can pursue improving food for the live-stock:what ever it is.
I wonder if there is a topic at the science museum that tells us some benefits of eating a LIMITED amount of meat.
I eat meat. Not all the time. Heck, even Oreos are vegan/vegetarian.
But that doesn't mean I should eat just Oreos, does it?
There is a lot to the health picture.
I wish this set up would show an even bigger picture.
I see the point the survey is trying to make but here's the bottom line. People have to eat. I love meat and so does most of the world. What if we don't eat it anymore? then we've got an overpopulation problem going on. What are you gonna do? Just kill them? Might as well eat them. We need meat and we need all the veggie stuff too. The animals need their food as much as we need ours. This is what makes the world go around so we can't get rid of part of the cycle because it will change the entire dynamic of the world. We can solve earth issues in ways that don't involve changing everyone's diets.
this survey is flawed and doesn't include the overall benefits of pasture rasing animals insteed of feedlots. Farming shouldbe treated as an ecosystem, not a monoculture, and pastured animals plus diverse crop farming creates that balance. This survey completely ignores those facts.
The facts were beneficial for me to know and be informed on the issure. But, as a life-long meat lover, I felt a bit antagonized and attacked for my beliefs. I don't feel that this is the way to change a person's opinion.
Seems like meat-eaters and vegetarians alike have felt a little antagonized by this quiz. It must be a complicated issue which people approach with a complicated and varied set of opinions.

The questions were a little odd but it did give me something to think about!
why not educate how farmers are producing animals in a safe and enviromnentaly friendly way... thank a farmer every day
Meat is delecious and p.s. i love steak
i <3 meat thats all i can say
there are happy mediums and solutions- small farms and eating locally grown foods are a way to keep things on a smaller scale and not consume so many resources- maybe if you eat meat you have to have a hand in raising and butchering the animals?
can i just say what is the point of lettuce? it's all water anyways.

from a meat lover...
Franklin likes to eat meat.
meat is awsome and well so what if animals get killed they get killed in the wild anyway so why should it matter if we kill them i mean seriously well thats just my opinion.

meat is part of our food pyramid and it contains proteins and other nutrients that makes us healthy and energized for the day.
There are more efficient forms of meat such as poultry or even wild game. Recent studies have shown meat eating actualy helped humans evolve. The efficency and pollution problems caused by animals havescientific solutions.

Meat, Veggies, grains, fruit are part of well balanced diet. As with anything enjoy meat in moderation...
I think this COULD have been a great educational exhibit if the questions and answers had been worded differently. Use of respectful verbage would possibly make people less defensive and put them into a better, more open state of mind.
its kinda mean to animals, but i love meat. not about to change my mind. but i love animals too!!!
Wow, I didn't know half of these things! And I can't live without meat, I could never be a no-meat-diet!
meat is an important and delicious part of your daily diet. i usually try to eat between 7 and 10 servings of meat a day! Go MEAT :-)
MEAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! You vegetarians are missing out, now I'm not saying change your way of eating. Meat keeps you heallthy!

VEGETARIANS RULE! POWER TO THE VEG!
you can get all the protein you need from plant based foods

It doesn't really change my mind but it does seem inefficient

Thats why i harvest my own- no bio-science food additives in wild game. higher pfotien content, and a deer doesn't need a cleared pasture.
meat is made out of pigs !yuck
One alternative to eating tons of meat is to avoid red meat. It's better for the enviroment, and you still get to eat meat.
I think we should spend some serious time/effort in the improvement of food production for humans. then we can pursue improving food for the live-stock:what ever it is.
meat is delicious, nothing will change. animals were put on this earth for us to eat.
That's why I am a meat minimalist! I eat meat, but try to use it as a side dish and eat vegetarian several days per week.
I could just agree, but...
I wonder if there is a topic at the science museum that tells us some benefits of eating a LIMITED amount of meat.

I like meat. Well....some kinds of meats have glue put into them.

I learned something about meat and veggies. I will try to get locally produced meat.
