Comments I've made

This article is lovely, it really is, but honestly, I just kept reading it and thinking "mmmmmm, tamales. Delicious, delicious tamales."
For me, suspension of disbelief depends on what scientific field the film or television show is representing. I can watch space dramas because I know very, very little about astrophysics. Lightsabers...
To nitpick: "grammar." Not "grammer." ;)
Nope. In fact, the Titanic sinking was notable because it revealed just how ill-prepared they were for a disaster. There weren't enough lifeboats for all of the passengers--the number of boats a ship...

Biography

I wish I were an expert in:
writing, osteology, and forensics.
Dream jobs:
Forensic Anthropologist or museum curator.
About me
My name is Ellen, and I am a VA and a Gallery Supervisor here at SMM. I am also a senior at Hamline University, with a concentration in Anthropology and Sociology. I have been going to the Science Museum since I was a little kid, so I am glad I am working in an environment I know and love.

Science in my life

What is science to you?
It is a powerful force that is forever evolving. As it should be.
I would invent
an umbrella that doesn't turn inside out!
Technology I love
My computer is my favorite gadget, though more specifically the internet, because it has connected me with many different people, concepts, and ideas, both good and bad. Though, of course, the computer itself also stores my schoolwork and the silly little short stories that I write in my spare time, for which I am forever grateful.
Technology that drives me crazy
Ear-buds, or any in-the-ear headphones. They're so gross!
What technology do you use every day?
My computer, my cellphone, my stove, and...um...electricity?
What math do you use every day?
Basic adding and subtracting for monetary exchanges, and sometimes basic statistics depending on the class I'm taking that day.
