What is science to you?:
Explaining how things work. Finding out new things about how things work.
I would invent:
Affordable solar energy collectors for homes and businesses that can provide daily power needs and be integrated into the power grid.
Technology I love:
Tools that really work well—such as electrical devices (including computers!) and well-designed hand tools. All of our electronic marvels started with a bunch of people playing around and experimenting with a new, interesting phenomenon for fun and profit—electro-magnetics fields. All good tools and technology are designed and perfected over time to solve problems in an elegant way.
How do you use math in your daily life?:
Simple arithmetic operations like measurement and proportions, budgeting, and occasionally simple algebra.
What technology do you use every day?:
Computers, the Web, electrical power,
Technology that drives me crazy:
Computers-they never tell you how to fix a problem; they just give you "error" messages. Any machine that doesn't work the way it is supposed to.
