How I use science

How do I user science in my job?
I am a science educator for the Science Museum. I use knowledge of science content to prepare and teach. I use research in science education to help plan the best learning experiences for students. I use math, technology, and engineering to design new props, demonstrations, and materials to be used in museum programs.
How do I keep up with science and technology?
I struggle, I read (Discover, Popular Science, Newspapers, National Science Teachers magazine, etc), I talk to colleagues, and when possible I attend workshop and conferences. I also use science and technology at home. I played Mario Cart? with my teenage children for the first time. I got "schooled".

I am a educator, parent, naturalist, sports fan, and home repair handyman. I enjoy solving puzzles ranging from how to take apart a motor, build a set of stairs down a hillside, creating a project budget, and assembling jigsaw puzzles.

Science is a mindset, a willingness to view, explore, and investigate the world around us. It is a process of examining and solving problems.
