Bacteria use antibiotics as food

New research published in Science reported bacteria can survive by eating antibiotics as a food source. This finding goes a step further than resistance. For a good summary read a blog on The Scientist website.

bacteria is something that can make you tattally sick! you could just be mildly sick and throw up or something, or you could be super sick and die!!!!!!!

Bacteria don't only cause disease - they can be really helpful too. For instance they can breakdown dangerous chemicals in the soil and make yogurt!
