Curry and cancer

Food of the gods—and good for you, too!: An ingredient in curry has cancer-fighting properties. Photo by yajico at Flickr.com

I love Indian food! The hotter, the better. My friend Bruce and I used to walk into random restaurants in the Los Angeles area and order the spiciest thing on the menu. Our motto was: it’s not really food if it doesn’t hurt.

Well, now it turns out that all those years I was downing rogan josh and chicken vindaloo, I was actually ingesting a potent cancer-fighting agent! According to some studies, curcumin, the yellowish spice in turmeric that gives curry its flavor, suppresses tumors. Unfortunately, it quickly loses its cancer-fighting properties when eaten.

But now, researchers in Japan have developed two synthetic versions of the compound. In tests on mice, these artificial flavorings were up to 30 times more powerful than natural curcumin. Treated mice fared 40% to 50% better than non-treated mice.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Every time we post a story about cancer or other serious diseases, we get a flood of messages asking for information. We are not doctors. No one on Science Buzz is qualified to give medical advice. Synthetic curcumin is still in early trials, and won’t be ready for human use for several years, if ever. Eating natural curcumin will not – I repeat, will NOT – protect you from cancer nor cure cancer you already have.

Turmeric actually has also been linked to warding off alzheimers(sp?). It was in an issue of Science News a couple months back.

FOR ALL THOSE "FLOOD" of REQUESTS:

go get one of the thousands of books at (SHHHH! be quiet)....cencored out....

sorry folks, the autorities of the unitd stts of amrca won't allow the CURES to be used within the borders of the country by health pros. .... sorry again, it's just not allowed to use the PROVEN CURES that are allowed in some other countries.... (I know, there's a bullseye on my house, they've been watching me and recording everything for 12 years now)....(I'm still small potatoes as far as they're concerned, when people start to get nationwide news, that's when they start to disappear)

try to sneak this one in : (shhhh) maureen salaman's book "The Known Cure"

....find it quickly and STAY QUIET!

I always find it interesting when people who complain of government censorship do so in a public forum.

As noted, scientific tests have shown that simply eating cumin, tumeric, and other spices will not cure cancer.

And, seriously, if curing cancer were that easy, wouldn't everybody be doing it?

everybody is doing it.... everybody that doesn't "KNOW" better that is !

scie tests show what the money behind them want them to show. period.

thousands, over 40 thousand, doctors in the usa used to know and use the proven natural prevention (dietary) and reversal (dietary) of much illness.

they were effectively silenced for the masses, by rich polys and drugys in the 50's. Massive public MIS education was planned and foisted upon most of the people of the country. On pupose. Most still don't know. Yet many are finding out every day. (for now anyway, anyone who is able to read and gooooodle can learn 100 times more better ways than the lic ds are allowed to use. 100 times more effective, self taught!, AND 1000 times LESS mula.

YOU think it is NOT easy ??? Look up DR so and so in europe with key words 'cottage cheese' and 'flax'... IF YOU can find that, how hard can it b?
(just do not try to tell the amer public - it is not allowed)

(to find out WHY it is not allowed, even though it is VERY easy, read adelle davis, max gerson, carey reams, salem kirban, hulda clark, caisse,
and
most famous of all in the un. st. : Maureen Salaman (exposes 126 known)

Of course, this will require a bit of time and reading.
(about 3 hours, or 30 years - there's enough for many lifetimes !)

If it's not allowed, then how are you getting away with it?

If it's on Google, and in all these dozens of books, then how is the American public being prevented from learning it?

If doctors don't give nutritional advice, then who are all these people in white lab coats in my doctor's office, giving me nutritional advice?

"scie tests show what the money behind them want them to show. period." is a blanket statement, and like all such, complete bull. Test show quite clearly which treatments save or extend lives, and which don't. It is my understanding that many of these nutritional approaches have never been tested, and many that have, have failed to show any positive effect. Which may explain your dismissive attitude towards actually looking at facts.

Hey, look at the very first article I found on Sciencedaily.com's cancer page.

It hasn't been easy, but I think I'm finally penetrating the government conspiracy keeping us from the healing powers of... of... strawberries and stuff, I guess. This information was only leaked thanks to the subversive organization known as the US Department of Agriculture.
