Look! Up in the sky!

The Leonid meteor shower will make its annual appearance this week. The best viewing will be Thursday, November 17, after midnight. Dress warmly, bring a thermos of hot chocolate, and head out away from the city. (Though I've had some good luck viewing meteors from the darker corners of city parks.)

Of course, you need clear skies. If the evening is clouded over in your neck of the woods, don't despair. Just log onto this site, and you can see live images of the sky from any of 11 observatories around the world.
