Amazing footage of tornado siphoning river water

This incredible video shows one of the two tornadoes that swept through Springfield, Massachusetts today sucking up water from the Connecticut River.

A couple of thoughts:

I wouldn't stand on top of a building that near a tornado.

Also, I wonder how a sudden influx of so much cool water affects a tornado. Would it rob it of some of its energy? Or maybe at that point the tornado, like the honey badger, just don't care?

Tornados scare me to death. So do all of the other natural disasters. Like hurricanes, and volcanoes. I'm guessing that this is a site to share your stories about what has happened to you in storms and what negative thing it left you with. I was at horse back riding and there was a thunderstorm. I had just gotten off my horse and lightning struck the property. It conducted through me. Long story short, I am afraid of lightning like I've never been afraid of anything before.
