i agree i think that it is good that people made machines for going up in to space. But i also think that when the astronauts go up into space, i think they should be assigned to see if they can find aliens particles
Well, I doubt we would send enough humans into space to lose control of the planet. Did the people who went to the moon find the world run by monkeys? Unless we all went up there at the same time, I don't think we'd let the monkeys take over.
same I think its rude to say dont let humans do things theyve done before but still use robots or machines when needed but it also wastes energy. So why use them if its for something humans can do and survive.
I agree, I think that we should send more robots into space but we definitely still need to send humans into space. Without humans going into space we will never get accounts of what it is really like up there. It doesn't matter that scientists have created machines that are meant to recreate what the experience of space is like , we need to know from human perspective what it really feels like.
robots will never be able to capture the nuances in space exploration. a robot could not have landed the apollo 11 lander 'eagle' on the surface of the moon...when neil armstrong heard "bingo fuel". the robot would have fired the ascent engines and left the surface...artificial intellegence is no substitute for human intuition or courage.
Humans must go. But machines need to do most of the grunt work. We need to create a delivery vehicle that has a magnetic field to protect space travelers.
Lol to the person who said why should we send humans to space; it's forcing it on us.
People are not forced to go to space! Haha. There are millions of people willing and wanting to go to space. Especially the expert astronauts who've worked in the space field before. Trust me, they don't feel "forced" to go to space, they are pretty obliged to go.
I think that humans should be still going to the moon. Can you imagine the experience? and the real life insight? Totally amazing! I know I would like to go to the moon someday. How fun would that be.
i think that we should stick with humans because thats what we've always done and i also think we should because no robot could duplicate human feelings or emotions
Well i think you guys should send us into the stars because we would see more and tell you more but if you send a robot into space they would probly get lost and never return and they would just be a wast of money if they get lost soo thats my answer bye bye =)
I think we should continue to send humans up into space. Robots can only do so much, especially when the people controlling them are sitting behind a desk on Earth. What good does that do? I don't think we should stop using robots all together because yes there are some things that humans can't do, or some conditions that they cannot go out in, but the people controlling them need to be with them. That way if something happens, then we don't send another robot into space to fix it, because there is already someone there. It saves money in the long run because both human and robot are in space and there is no need for an extra trip for either the human or robot. They are both a vital impportance to space exploration.
i think we should send more robots into space only if we dont knbow if the area that we want to go to is safe. if we fing out the area is safe then we can send people.
We should us both because there are somethings that a human can do that a robot cant and things a robot can do but a human cant. Yes it is dangerous but so was exploring the new world and where would we be if there hadn't been explorations into the Americas'. We still need humans and robots it is just a matter of figuring out when they are needed and how to keep eveyone and everything safe and fuctional.
i think we should send both. robots can do alot for us, but we should make sure that we don't let robots do our job for us. we should be up there admiring the wonderful, beutyful, amazing universe that God created.
i think that we should keep sending humans because robots cant tell us and give us proof about it and other humans that want to go up in space wont be able to.
why should we let robots have all the fun we should let the humans have all the fun its not fair for the robots to do all the work even the humans should be able to have fun right not just the robot because the robots cant have fun
well i guess we should send robots for long-term missions since long-distance space travel is not very good for your health but for short-distance missions we should use astronauts since we are more capable in mind than robots
we should keep it fresh wenever we go up into space. As long as were learning something new, we should still send up robots sometimes when we need it of course.
There is an article from Ian Crawford of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Birkbeck College in London, to be published in an upcoming issue of Astronomy and Geophysics that may be of interest.
Why wouldn't we send humans to space? To stop sending humans into space and expanding scientific experiences is silly, we need to continue to push the boundaries of scientific exploration.
i think the robot thingy is a great idea to have at the discovery place...... this is my third time coming here and i thinka robot exibit will be very cool...fun... and exciting to havee..! (i dont think people should put no way or anything like that .....juss give it a try!) if people (toddlers infants) dont like it ....no problem juss take the robot exsibbit down and start another exibit that everybody will like !! :)
it sounds bad NO WAY !!! that is what i think i know its my first time but they should keep it like it is now it is very fun whith out the robots keds could get hurt i do not agree whith you Prezzyparker... sorry but this is verry bad
send humans at least some of the time, some of the best inventions have come from the adaptations required to bring humans into space. Microwaves, velcro, Tang, freeze dried food - we wouln't have any of these without the space program!
That would be awesome if we sent humans and robots to space, and not one or the other. It would be cool to see humans and machines heading to space together and not seperate at different times!
It is important that humans continue to go into space. Without humans in space, we will not advance our technologies and challenge ourselves to meet new challenges. Hopefully, one day, there will be human colonies in space, but the only way to get there is to expand our programs. Robots are necessary for missions which humans aren't equipped for (such as a mission to Mars), so a blend of manned and unmanned missions are necessary to advance the space program. I also think private industry will advance things MUCH quicker than the government and private industry should be allowed to expand space exploration for commercial purposes.
I think that space exploration is a valid effort and I think that humans need to be involved for most of it. People can think on their feet, most robots don't even have feet, how can they think on them...or think?
robots are not a good idea at all what if they loss control and do somthing that will indanger a lot of people what wiil we all do then.thats what iv been thaing
I vote for occasion human use, as robots are not cheap & are oftenly inperfect in some way. But human lives are at risk, & no amount of money or machinery can make for a human life lost in the cosmos. But still machinery cannot perfectly replicate the intricate design needed for certain tasks in space.
I think we should still use humans for space trips, but we should only go on planets and things that we are capable of reaching, and leave the outerspace like venus to the machines, because they can probably endure more conditions then we can.
its way too expensive to send people to space. people could die out there. say that you were in space and you had a sharp object you had in your hand and you cut a hole in your space suit, all the oxygen would rush out and you would die. but some people take risks!
I think that it would more safe to send robots into space all time, but it it would cost more. If we're going to spend more money on technology, it should be spent more on keeping the humans safe.
One Direction Sucks also I feel that human exploration should only be done when we know for sure that the humans will in fact be safe during the mission.
i think you should send us to the stars we have more experince in space than robots cuse we were alive before robots thats my opinion
thanks for your time
I think that they should send up only robots with cameras because someone could get hurt and you cant risk someone getting hurt. So, if you send up a robot that you can control, and also see out of a camera so you know what is happening instead of putting someone in danger and sending them instead.
i agree with sending humans up but i also think its pretty dangerous mashines made by humans can be used to do jobs that are to risky to let humans do it person
well the earth will only supprt humans for so lonn gso we need to make exploration into spawce to find new places to live and the only waty to know is a human can live there is to send a human
i think we should let people go into space. Sure machines can go up in space but it would be much more exciting and amazing to go up in human. of course we shouldn't force people up there but people are way too excited to go in space. If we take that away it wouldn't be more exciting. in my class last year we would listen to people saying about there anvenntures in space. It was much more fun listening it on interviews than in books. but if no humans went up there it would all go away. that was a very nice question and i hope there will be more because i had a very nice time answering it. i love your museum and i will be definnetly be here again very soon. that was my oppinion and i hopee you had as much as a fun time reading it than i had typing it bye:)
i think that they should only send robots to space because when humans go into space they are risking there lives and even though not many pepole die in space it is still dangerous
I think that we should always send humans out in space. Sure it's dangerous, but humans like adventure. A machine cannot suffice for life in space. Machines can only tell us so much, but a human can tell us what its like to actually live in space as a human. If we ever want to find out if we can live in space, a robot cannot tell us how a human can survive the atmosphere with real life experience. Only a human can tell us that. Robots are too technologized. Only humans can say what its REALLY like to live in space.
Why should humands be afraid of space? Besides it's not a trap, it's called taking a chance for once so why dont you try for once and you might like it.
I think we should send a new rover into orbit and try finding a new planet with an atmosphere so that people can go there! Also we should names the rover " The Hemosphere. " But seriously we need more knowledge of space and planets.
Robots should be used only in the toughest situations. Like exploring meteor showers or something that seems a little "out of the ordinary." But humans should be used for more familiar things.
Don't let the government run the program since they are unable to run anything with a budget. not a single government program runs in the black. this includes amtrak the post office and the national park service. so send people just don't let the government do it.
There is a major difference between humans and robots and thats emotion a robot not only would be a waste of funding money that could be betterspent but also it wouldnt appreciate the fact of where it is. Look at the mars rovers they spent billions making them and one is in a ditch and the other is non responsive.
I think that machines are replaceing the way we live. Kids are whatching TV and playing on there phones and computer to much. So why send robots hen you can send people instead.
just beacuse people think robots are cooler than humans dont mean they should do it people should explore their jobs and have fun instead of robots doing their job
robots can hold more machinery than humans. Why send humans into space if we can't aim rockets precisely? Send robots instead of humans on exact locaation areas. We can lose humans easily and its the only way we lose water.
you guys are dumb! nothing can replace human expieriece. machines don't have feelings and couldn't explain the expierience as in depth as a human being can.
Send humans to space! We are better than robots, though robots are really cool. We have opinions, and lives! Don't let chunks of metal go to space and live through something that would be a real experiance for people.
I think robots are sufficient to do most of the work, especially since it is cheaper and safer to send automated machines to completely unknown frontiers. However, humans are better suited to handle unexpected situations, so eventual human exploration is warranted once robots have determined there is something or interest in space that is in a human-accessible environment.
I think they should keep sending people into space because it is interesting. They should also keep robots because people can not be up in space all time.
I think we should always send humans to space for space exploration. Machines are wonderful for places humans are unable to explore but humans are still a crutial component in the exploration of OUR FUTURE!!!!!!!
To start off, of course we shouldn't send machines up! We are earth, a planet full of human beings. I don't understand why anyone would send some METAL MACHINE. We need to slow down, and do the right thing.
I think that humans should go up into space occasionally but robots can do most of the work it wud be half as dangerous to send a robot than it wud be to send a person. If a robot went up then no one wud miss the person that was sent up
I don't think that letting robots do this is completely the smartest desicion. In my opinion humans who get to experience space are lucky. No robot can have the same experience as humans. Also humans can see things some robots will not be able to pick up such as different colors or shapes. To me its only logical to let humans do the dangerous yet beautiful job of going to adventure space.
robots should be used to guide the craft but manual takeover is sometimes needed therefore we should continue to send humans into space along with machines for backup
Our current aspirations are often limited to what we now know as acheiveable. To say that we can come to an end all conclusion on whether man or machine belongs in space at this point would be ignoring the prospect of future progress on our ability to send both man and machine into space safely and more efficiently in the future. There is no blanket answer to this question as the watered down multiple choice answer implies. Many goals we currently have can be met by machines, but as our goals reach furthur it is likely that human exploration will not be seen as a risk, but as a reward of space exploration.
I think we should send both but we should do robots first then humans to make sure its safe so humans dont get harmed because we can make more robots but can never replace the same person. But also we should send more girls up there. hehe because girls are amaZAYN I <3 1D ONE DIRECTION IS AWESOME
But you have no idea whether or not the US government has enough funding to build robots. And space in general is inhospitable to us, and most other complex multicellular organisms.
Humans showld definetly go to space!!! There is no point not doing it. I don't trust those machines. BUT when you have to, you have to. Still, don't get me wrong, machines should still be used, death is NEVER AN OPTION!!!!!!!
Our understanding of space is limited. Us humans have an inherent fear of the unknown. Therefore, it will take some time for us to explore our galaxy, and the others beyond. If you are thinking that "Andromeda Strain"-esque scenarios will enusue, that might take a while, if at all.
Space exploration is one of humankind's greatest achievements we shouldn't give that up just because we have the technology to use robots instead. All the children who dream of going into space may never get that chance if we contiune using robots rather than humans, if they can't reach for the stars where can they reach?
I think that we should send more people to the moon and into space and only use robots when absolutley necessary. I think the space experiance is beyond compare.
When dangerous things happen, such as blowing up space ships, it is much more bearable when the things blowing up are robots, and not humans. Of course, I'm not trying to play the emotions card. We don't want to admit it but robots are becoming smarter than humans in various fields.
I think that robots should go into space more but they can break down and lose the data.
But we should keep the human travel in space alive. But more recources so they dont coome back dead in the rocket. So let's keep the funding but at a lower price to pay so the people of America happy to help.
i cant believe that we would send humans into space i dont want to risk their life just to find out what is out there. i mean it would be cool to say u went out into space and stuff. but i mean is it to die for. machines can take pictures and vidieos of the other planets.
I belive we should put the robots into space because it cost a lot of money for peoplr to go and also we could send up some people occasionally but it all just depends on whos going, what the cost is, and really if the want to go or not
I think nothing can replace the ingenuity of a human. Robots are important and can accomplish things that humans can't, however, you can't take away the human component.
I think that we should send people up into space sometimes, due to the amount of money it would cost. Robots can provide us with even more information than that of an average human.
The Gemini, Mercury and Apollo programs were responsible for many technological advancements we enjoy today. It's not about what we stand to lose, it's what we stand to gain by continuing human space exporation.
I think that we should send more robots into space but still send some humans into space.
i have found that i fear if we send humans into space they will return to a world run by monkeys
A valid fear Anonymous.
Nope, they already run this world. They are but slightly more civilized than their kin in the trees of the jungle.
well i think that it is good that people go to space. and i think i showes people can do what bots can.
i agree i think that it is good that people made machines for going up in to space. But i also think that when the astronauts go up into space, i think they should be assigned to see if they can find aliens particles
well put. but was that in third person? last i checked we all were apes, maybe some more than others
Very true! The gov't is already planning for this!
I agree!
Did the monkeys we sent into space fear that they would return to a world run by humans?
Well, I doubt we would send enough humans into space to lose control of the planet. Did the people who went to the moon find the world run by monkeys? Unless we all went up there at the same time, I don't think we'd let the monkeys take over.
we should send robots in space but we should check on them every year
NO WAY :(
you are wrong you would not know anything about space, stars, planets, nd even our planet!
i agree what if the machine malfunctions we need human eyes to prove akk theorys and hypothisis
yea that would be cool
i think you are right.
i agree
how does gravty keep us on earth
i agree
same I think its rude to say dont let humans do things theyve done before but still use robots or machines when needed but it also wastes energy. So why use them if its for something humans can do and survive.
i thinnk that we need robots and human
Yes me too
I think we should send robots and people into space. We cannot let robots take over the world completely.... just my thoughts.
i also think that but there is less chance of death if we send more robots
I agree, I think that we should send more robots into space but we definitely still need to send humans into space. Without humans going into space we will never get accounts of what it is really like up there. It doesn't matter that scientists have created machines that are meant to recreate what the experience of space is like , we need to know from human perspective what it really feels like.
So wrong. It should be humans.
"correct!" but some robots can help only some
we need robots because they last longer than humans but we should send humans to repare the robots
that's a pretty good idea but some humans wanna explore the space
i think we shouldnot send anyone or anything up in space. kapeshe.
it makes sence to use robots but we should continue to send humans aswell
why would we send robots when we have perfetly good humans we love the science museum
So true! I want to go to space and if they stop letting people go to space I would never get to go! So I agree!!!
robots will never be able to capture the nuances in space exploration. a robot could not have landed the apollo 11 lander 'eagle' on the surface of the moon...when neil armstrong heard "bingo fuel". the robot would have fired the ascent engines and left the surface...artificial intellegence is no substitute for human intuition or courage.
I totally agree. Because what's the point of sending robots if we can't say to alien races "Yeah, we've been there."
Humans must go. But machines need to do most of the grunt work. We need to create a delivery vehicle that has a magnetic field to protect space travelers.
humans and robots should work side by side.
why must humans go???????? its like your forcing it on us .
Lol to the person who said why should we send humans to space; it's forcing it on us.

i think weshould send humans and robots cuz then we have the humans to watch the robots
I think that humans should be still going to the moon. Can you imagine the experience? and the real life insight? Totally amazing! I know I would like to go to the moon someday. How fun would that be.
yup thats what i belive
that would be an awesome amazing trip
I agree
i agree that would be an amazing trip!
i agree.
me too
SCIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! is cool
ROBOTS SHOLD GO ON MISSIONS WHERE HUNANS CAN'T GO BUT OTHERWISE HUMANS SHOULD GO
robots should go if for some reason human cant otherwise humun should go!!!!!!!!!
Peaple shuld make robots to clean your room! Its not fair!!!!!!
A lot of people die trying to go to space. We should just send robots and satilites.
well sometimes the robots may mess up
We should send humans because they are better than robots
i think that we should stick with humans because thats what we've always done and i also think we should because no robot could duplicate human feelings or emotions
i think that you are right
Well i think you guys should send us into the stars because we would see more and tell you more but if you send a robot into space they would probly get lost and never return and they would just be a wast of money if they get lost soo thats my answer bye bye =)
i think time and money would be better spent trying to figure out ways to improve life on our own planet, not worrying about what's on others.
I THINK WE SHOULD FIGURE OUT HOW TO BREATH ON THE MOON TO PRESERVE HUMANS AND ANIMALS
A LITTLE BIT OF BOTH
robots can never experence what humans can and experence is part of what keeps space inportent but it's okay to use robots where it get to dangerous
yes
robots and people is the right way to go!
i think we should send both. robots can do alot for us, but we should make sure that we don't let robots do our job for us. we should be up there admiring the wonderful, beutyful, amazing universe that God created.
i think robots should go into space when they need to. humans should when they need to!
that humans are more smarter than robots and that robots should never be sent into space.
i think that we should keep sending humans because robots cant tell us and give us proof about it and other humans that want to go up in space wont be able to.
why should we let robots have all the fun we should let the humans have all the fun its not fair for the robots to do all the work even the humans should be able to have fun right not just the robot because the robots cant have fun
robots could change the world
i dont think robots could change the world4 the simple fact there robots .... :)
robots should be invented so they can do everything
Robots should go it is not safe for humans. Would you want someone you know going off into space not knowing what will happen?
that is so true
well i guess we should send robots for long-term missions since long-distance space travel is not very good for your health but for short-distance missions we should use astronauts since we are more capable in mind than robots
I think we should send humans into space and make a way that allows it to be cost efficient to everyone.
i think we should do somof both with mainly robot exploration because robots can e replaced man cannot.
a little bit of both but ido think we should keep send people in to space i think it is a great idea.
Theoretically, I support manned space travel. Realistically though the cost is prohibitive and there are greater priorities here on earth.
i think people need to not be lazy and let the robots do all the work
"there are greater priorities here on Earth."
the BEST point of all comments.
let s work on peace on Earth
I think that we should send people up occasionally but then also let machines do most of the work.
they both should go into space
i think we should get robots
NOOOOO
Humens should be sent to space occasionally
I think space travel is important to the future of humanity. Machines can never substitute for what humans can do!
robots are cool the way to the future
i think that it is great and humans should go to space and explore the moon.
robots sound good
I think we should send robots up sometimes butnothing beats human experience. If you find people willing to take the risk, send them up!
this is a good idea and should always be that way and people should ojly go every 3 years
We are Unitarian Universalists, so we believe the robots should decide and have a say too.
Sending humans into space is indeed scary, but we've got the tehnology- so why not? :)
ROBOTS ARE A RESULT OF LAZINEES. Americans need to learn how to work and not make robots to do crap for them.. Peace out
Robots are a bad idea. how lazy can we get; nothing can replace humans going themselves!
we shoud not go in space
we should keep it fresh wenever we go up into space. As long as were learning something new, we should still send up robots sometimes when we need it of course.
use robots!!
Uh... yeah. Space. Coo l stuff, man.
robots are to expensive and cool dont wast them in space
There is an article from Ian Crawford of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Birkbeck College in London, to be published in an upcoming issue of Astronomy and Geophysics that may be of interest.
Dispelling the myth of robotic efficiency: why human space exploration will tell us more about the Solar System than will robotic exploration alone
I think that humans should go if they want like a signup otherwise robots are for the job
yes send us to the stars!!!!
Why wouldn't we send humans to space? To stop sending humans into space and expanding scientific experiences is silly, we need to continue to push the boundaries of scientific exploration.
robots are cool but, they get agery easly.
robots are awesome they should go
Sending humans into space takes great ingenuity and innovation; those innovations pay off in other ways. It's worth the trip!! Giddy up cowbow!
nothing beats human experience!!!!!
why send them in space have you seen Apollo 18? so dont send them there
you can't 100% trust robots.
wall-e shows us you can't trust robots.
i think the robot thingy is a great idea to have at the discovery place...... this is my third time coming here and i thinka robot exibit will be very cool...fun... and exciting to havee..!
Send the humans.
Agreed, get rid of humans.
Send the humans
I belive as long as humans want to go send them!
i think it is just plain weird to have humans in spae, its fir aliens not humans!
i think humans should get to go into space if they have worked hard for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUMANS!!!!!!!
send us to space
send humans at least some of the time, some of the best inventions have come from the adaptations required to bring humans into space. Microwaves, velcro, Tang, freeze dried food - we wouln't have any of these without the space program!
i would...
Ummmm helloooo ppl. r u kidin me? send me 2 da starz!
i think robots should be used more, because then people dont have to be put in dangerous sitauations.
I think humans were put here for a reason... LET US WORK!
i <3 space
Robots are our #1 option
Yes we must snd humans...theirs better future in space than earth..
Humans all the way!
robots sometimes but humans most of the time
I think we should send humans and machines to space.
That would be awesome if we sent humans and robots to space, and not one or the other. It would be cool to see humans and machines heading to space together and not seperate at different times!
It's makes sense to just take both humans and machines into space
Robots can understand data but can not have opinions. so, I think we can do the job.
It would cost WAY too much for a family vacation in space, so we should only have trained professionals occasionally go up to do space work!!!
I think that humans should live their dream and go into space, but use robots when it makes sense. o knows what you might discover!
send people to the moon mabey robots sometimes
it would be more fun to here from people
people,a robot could break down
besides, then humans have the thrill!
humams should still have the thrill of space
I think that space exploration is a valid effort and I think that humans need to be involved for most of it. People can think on their feet, most robots don't even have feet, how can they think on them...or think?
duhh robotss do have feet
robots are nt a good idea at alll
robots are not a good idea at all what if they loss control and do somthing that will indanger a lot of people what wiil we all do then.thats what iv been thaing
people should go to space because so REAL poeple can do it cause robots die
I vote for occasion human use, as robots are not cheap & are oftenly inperfect in some way. But human lives are at risk, & no amount of money or machinery can make for a human life lost in the cosmos. But still machinery cannot perfectly replicate the intricate design needed for certain tasks in space.
I think we should still use humans for space trips, but we should only go on planets and things that we are capable of reaching, and leave the outerspace like venus to the machines, because they can probably endure more conditions then we can.
anybody should Be able to go into outer Space! Eva.
robot to cheack if its safe then humans so the can see it for there selfs
its way too expensive to send people to space. people could die out there. say that you were in space and you had a sharp object you had in your hand and you cut a hole in your space suit, all the oxygen would rush out and you would die. but some people take risks!
I think that it would more safe to send robots into space all time, but it it would cost more. If we're going to spend more money on technology, it should be spent more on keeping the humans safe.
we should still send people to space........ and eat jellybeans and have bobbleheads too!!!
i think that we should keep sending astronauts to space so we can learn more about the universe
Humans MADE robots, so i think humans deserve some control over them. Robots and humans get equal time.
I dont know if we should or not. Maybe a little bit of both.
We can go into space. I mean seriously, it's not like there's a space Jaws up there or anything. ... Right?
Though the dangers are ever present, it is my firm belief that humans can benefit from the experience of space travel.
There are many test that can be preformed in space that are not availible on Earth.
Also, if life is found outside of Earth, the first being from our planet they meet should not be a machine, but a human ambassodor.
It is our duty as sentient life forms to make sure that our civilization is well represented in the reaches of space.
One Direction Sucks also I feel that human exploration should only be done when we know for sure that the humans will in fact be safe during the mission.
This is fantasic, I think humans and robots could work togrther well! :)
Robots are good, but sending humans is better because humans can enjoy it and have real experiences. Send humans and robots.
i think we should bring monkeys in outer space and that monkeys should be robots monkeys.
Robots should not replace humans...ever
I think we should send people in to space, but not to much. Or, it should'nt cost a lot of money.
I think that sending people to space is good because with out sending people space we would not know about space or the planets.
this is basically the debate were doing in my class right now XD
I belive we should send people and robots into space.
more rovers more information let us pay to send more rovers u.s.a
I think space would be cool but it is still dangerous to go to so, we should have rob ots visit more frequntly than humans.
i think no one should go to space because people should get better jobs than to go thru space training.
robots all the way........;)
both should be used. theres no recreating the awsome experiance of space travel, but theres no recreating humans either.
I think that we should send people up to the moon because it's close and send rovers and other machines andd robots to other planets.
i think that we should send more ppl to outter space to see if there are aliens because the aliens are gunna attack on dec 21 2012
i think that science is crucial to the human knowledge.
robots will never repladce the human's brain. it is artificial and is insignificant
i think you should send us to the stars we have more experince in space than robots cuse we were alive before robots thats my opinion
thanks for your time
i love pictures of space not robots
unneccesary
I think they should do mostly sending up robots so no one gets hurt.
I think that they should send up only robots with cameras because someone could get hurt and you cant risk someone getting hurt. So, if you send up a robot that you can control, and also see out of a camera so you know what is happening instead of putting someone in danger and sending them instead.
the human's brain is multidimensional but robots are totally good at math. watch transformers and jurrasic park, they have all the antswerdszzzz.
robots in space would be cool but we should start on earth then onto space.
people should't make a perminent residence in space because we will just end up destroying that world as bad as we have destroyed ours
i agree with sending humans up but i also think its pretty dangerous mashines made by humans can be used to do jobs that are to risky to let humans do it person
well the earth will only supprt humans for so lonn gso we need to make exploration into spawce to find new places to live and the only waty to know is a human can live there is to send a human
HUMANS ALL THE WAY!!! What happens if a robot stops working ... humans always work and wont just shut down ... hello its the obvious choice
i think we should let people go into space. Sure machines can go up in space but it would be much more exciting and amazing to go up in human. of course we shouldn't force people up there but people are way too excited to go in space. If we take that away it wouldn't be more exciting. in my class last year we would listen to people saying about there anvenntures in space. It was much more fun listening it on interviews than in books. but if no humans went up there it would all go away. that was a very nice question and i hope there will be more because i had a very nice time answering it. i love your museum and i will be definnetly be here again very soon. that was my oppinion and i hopee you had as much as a fun time reading it than i had typing it bye:)
it shuld be people going up ocasionly and robots mostly
i think that they should only send robots to space because when humans go into space they are risking there lives and even though not many pepole die in space it is still dangerous
i think we should just send robots
I don't think we should send anything into space. There is NO life in space earth is the only one for life.
i think there should be more robots in space so we can find out more about the atmosphere and space.
Spase is a wonderfull place to be it is nice
the machines should be kept cause some need to be
let the robots go into space..........it's too dangerous for humans to go
I think that we should always send humans out in space.
I think sometimes we should send humans for the trip, I mean come on! Give us a chance!
we just learned about space so i think it is important to use robots when it is unsafe in space but fun and exciting to send humans into space too
people should go to space often.
Robots are cool, but humans are the way to go.
Robots are cool, but humans are the way they go
Humans are better.
robots WILL break ;\
Definitely robots. Humans could die and robots have been to mars and further. Plus it's also safer and cheaper.
i think we nead more space ships
Humans should be fearful of space exploration. It's a trap!
Seriously though, robots make sense at times, but I think that humans should still be on the forefront of exploartion.
It would be cool to live in space if man ever finds a way! What do you think?
Robots should be used only in the toughest situations. Like exploring meteor showers or something that seems a little "out of the ordinary." But humans should be used for more familiar things.
That would be awesome! Although, with science today, people could. There would have to be a lot of oxygen transported into space periodicly.
i want to be an astronaut; NO ROBOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think we should send robot men because then we can do both and everyone is happy, happy, happy.
i would like someone to go to mars
Don't let the government run the program since they are unable to run anything with a budget. not a single government program runs in the black. this includes amtrak the post office and the national park service. so send people just don't let the government do it.
There is a major difference between humans and robots and thats emotion a robot not only would be a waste of funding money that could be betterspent but also it wouldnt appreciate the fact of where it is. Look at the mars rovers they spent billions making them and one is in a ditch and the other is non responsive.
I think if space is not the right enviroment for a human being we should not send people to space AT ALL!!
I think that machines are replaceing the way we live. Kids are whatching TV and playing on there phones and computer to much. So why send robots hen you can send people instead.
just beacuse people think robots are cooler than humans dont mean they should do it people should explore their jobs and have fun instead of robots doing their job
I think we should send people into space .It'sbetter for humans to have the chance to go to space and discover the cool and exciting forms of life
yo i think robots an teh humans should go side by side into space
robots can hold more machinery than humans.
Don't let chunks of metal go to space and live through something that would be a real experiance for people.
keep every thing balenced as of space travel
I think robots are sufficient to do most of the work, especially since it is cheaper and safer to send automated machines to completely unknown frontiers. However, humans are better suited to handle unexpected situations, so eventual human exploration is warranted once robots have determined there is something or interest in space that is in a human-accessible environment.
i think machines have a lot of swagg and we should give them a chance
Robots. It is dangerous
Hello! I think that we should let humans into space but test it on robots then send humans up into space. I think its safer if we do that.
i think that we should sent more people into space!!!
I think they should keep sending people into space because it is interesting. They should also keep robots because people can not be up in space all time.
I think people and robots into space so that they could learn about planets.
I think we should always send humans to space for space exploration. Machines are wonderful for places humans are unable to explore but humans are still a crutial component in the exploration of OUR FUTURE!!!!!!!
I think they should let them into space because this is science and we really haven't learned much space yet.
To start off, of course we shouldn't send machines up! We are earth, a planet full of human beings. I don't understand why anyone would send some METAL MACHINE. We need to slow down, and do the right thing.
i don't think weshould send humans into to space just robots. robots>humans to send into space
only send robots into space.
I think people should go in space because it would be a great experiance for them and yeh!
I think that NASA should only send people. Cool Article!
I think that someday humans will live in space!!!!!
I think that people could get hurt in space so maybe its best to leave it to robots!
I think the we all will turn into robots and the world will run off of batteries bc computers RULE!!!
I think humans would probably die, send robots.
robots should be used to guide the craft but manual takeover is sometimes needed therefore we should continue to send humans into space along with machines for backup
ITHINK ROBOTS SHOULD BE SENT TO SPACE TO SEE IF IT IS SAFE FOR US
But you have no idea whether or not the US government has enough funding to build robots. And space in general is inhospitable to us, and most other complex multicellular organisms.
I think that humans in space should only be for easy missons robots should do the dirty work
I thinf robot because they last longer than humans but we should stell end humans to repare the robots
i think if your going to have robots go into space they should be learned what to do
I think that there should be robots and humans.
i stronly dissigre with sending humans up to space becaus the human cant explain what the moon was like
Humans showld definetly go to space!!! There is no point not doing it. I don't trust those machines. BUT when you have to, you have to. Still, don't get me wrong, machines should still be used, death is NEVER AN OPTION!!!!!!!
Signed,
-Mr. Anonymous
P.S. LETS GO TO MARS!!!!!
people need robots
if the humans in question wish to risk their lives doing this, than they should be allowed to...
I believe that we should keep sending humans into space, but because of Obama shutting down the NASA program that will unfortunatly not happen.
i think we should send people to space
i think robots should go and humans repair
we should keep going into space, unless we can't be there without dying. then we should use robots.
way to dangeros for a human what if there is a leak in the ship!!!!!
Why does it matter? Space travel outside of a certain range will take a long time to happen.
Our understanding of space is limited. Us humans have an inherent fear of the unknown. Therefore, it will take some time for us to explore our galaxy, and the others beyond. If you are thinking that "Andromeda Strain"-esque scenarios will enusue, that might take a while, if at all.
I think you should send humans and robots into space:)

Frankly, I'd not risk the humans in space to settle.
Space exploration is one of humankind's greatest achievements we shouldn't give that up just because we have the technology to use robots instead. All the children who dream of going into space may never get that chance if we contiune using robots rather than humans, if they can't reach for the stars where can they reach?
I think that we should send humans into space.
I think that we should send more people to the moon and into space and only use robots when absolutley necessary. I think the space experiance is beyond compare.
People all the way
When dangerous things happen, such as blowing up space ships, it is much more bearable when the things blowing up are robots, and not humans.
So let's keep the funding but at a lower price to pay so the people of America happy to help.
i think robots should do most of the work so its safer and less expensive but its nice to know humens could get the work done to
i think you sould send in just humans to space
i cant believe that we would send humans into space i dont want to risk their life just to find out what is out there. i mean it would be cool to say u went out into space and stuff. but i mean is it to die for. machines can take pictures and vidieos of the other planets.
I think we should keep sending humans into space for the experince.
I think that a robot or anything of that source can only tell us so much, I think that the human experience is the way to go.
I think we should keep with humans. But we can still to robots!
We need to prioritize our funding to take care of necessary issues here on earth.
Keep the funding flowing...especially for contractors involved for basic science endevours.
If we have the money, then humans all the way.
SPAAAAAACE!
A course were gonna gowta space. We'll all live in my moon colony, and ill be the princess, but there'll be no girls allowed. Spread the word!
robots, because ya really want to risk your life going up there??? like forreal
I think that robots should go into space with humans and they should together.
I belive we should put the robots into space because it cost a lot of money for peoplr to go and also we could send up some people occasionally but it all just depends on whos going, what the cost is, and really if the want to go or not
JUST SEND HUMANS TO SPACE! Space is cool and going into space is an adventure! I want to go to space oneday!
I think nothing can replace the ingenuity of a human. Robots are important and can accomplish things that humans can't, however, you can't take away the human component.
i think that we should remain sending humans up to space for experience
i think we should keep people going to space but when going far distances robots should take our place.
i think robots should do space explorations.
We should leave human space exploration to private organizations.
