What M3P is learning

University of Minnesota

Staff and students at the University of Minnesota continue to do a range of specific projects based on data that they get from the overall M3P samples.

So far, researchers have used the information they're collecting to get new insights into the Mississippi River's water quality from a variety of perspectives, including:
• Microbial diversity
• Function
• Anthropogenic impacts
• Differences in land use vs. microbial communities
• What happens to the microbial community at when rivers merge (confluences)
